Bob Catley: Immortal
Melodic Hard Rock/Melodic Metal
Rating: 5.0/5.0

Bob Catley (Magnum) is back again with another solo work and, frankly, 'Immortal' is brilliant, a true masterpiece. Though Catley soars on vocals with his strong and steady voice, major kudos must be go to the author and producer of this fine music. First, these four words 'Written by Magnus Karlsson' say volumes about the excellence of content and composition of the songs. Second, Dennis Ward, the go-to-guy in the studio, delivers expectional musicianship and sound production making 'Immortal' sparkle with near flawlessness.

Yes, folks, this album is that good. From beginning to end this work roars with massive melodic rock with enough metal nuances to give it a sharp age. All that's left to do is to point out some of the most thrilling and memorable songs. These songs include the stunning opener 'Dreamers Unite,' 'The Searcher' and 'One More Night,' both with soaring guitar work, 'War In Heaven,' great catchy choruse and more great guitar, and 'Win The Throne,' uncompromising steady rhythm section and another big chorus. Without doubt, 'Immortal' is Catley's best work to date. Simply superb!
