In 2005 the name EMERGENCY GATE was heard for the first time. Not long after that, the young band with high musical potential produced their first album “Nightly Ray” with well known producer Spike Streefkerk (Mellissa Etheridge, Def Leppard, Phil Collins etc.). Metal Heart Magazine titled even the rough mix of the record as its “Album of the month”. Following that recognition, the band caught the eye of record label TEC/Universal and eventually signed a deal with the label. (more…)

Downspirit to release new album Point of Origin August 17 on Metalville Records

Downspirit was originally formed in 2009 by Symphorce/Ex-Freedom Call guitarist Cédric “Cede” Dupont in order to fulfil his long-time dream to form a band dedicated to the combination of blues and metal music.  The band also consists of vocal-talent Steffen Lauth, Axel “Aki” Reissmann (rhythm.guit./”PUMP”), as well as Sven Rakowitz on bass and Sebastian Dunkel on drums, who complete the line-up with a blasting feel of rhythm and groove. RiotGod self-titled debut albumRiotGod, featuring members of Monster Magnet, to release self-titled debut album August 17th on Metalville Records. Initial pressing available in an exclusive digipak with two bonus tracks.

In 2007 Monster Magnet’s Bob Pantella and Jim Baglino created their own alternate universe under the RiotGod banner, inviting guitarist Garrett Sweeny and the estranged vocalist known only as Sunshine to travel the cosmos with them. Their achieved collective goal is RiotGod, their self-titled debut album containing some of the most energetic, recognizable and high quality Hard Rock this side of Mars. (more…)
