Richard ‘The Crawdaddy’ Dance digital downloads sales to help Gulf Coast residents

July 20th, 2010 by Craig Hartranft

Richard The Crawdaddy Dance Nice BonesFrom Richard “The Crawdaddy” Dance:

My latest CD NICE BONES is now available (digital download): www.thecrawdaddy.bandcamp.com. Fourteen goodtime funk-rock and southern-soul tunes with guest appearances by many important Phoenix musicians.

I will donate all proceeds from digital album sales through August 31 to an appropriate, legitimate relief fund to help the people affected by the BP gusher, in both the seafood and oil industries.

The following news clip gives you a taste of how much the people down there need help:

As Cherri Foytlin says in the clip, even though the BP well is capped, the devastating results to the people of the Gulf Coast will be around for years.

I am not Democrat or Republican. I am not religious. I am not pro or anti-oil. I am just The Crawdaddy, and for me it’s all about doing something to help those who are suffering.

Pensacola, FL is my hometown. I was in the seafood business there in the 80′s and know how rough it is to make a living in commercial fishing, even during good times.  New Orleans is my second home, and a big part of my life and my music.

When I moved to Phoenix, the crawfish suppliers I knew back in Louisiana helped me get the Arizona Crawfish Festival going.  This fundraiser ran for 12 years in the 80′s & 90′s, raising $$ thousands $$ for two children’s charities in Arizona.  THE POINT: Thousands of pounds of crawfish, year after year, were supplied at a huge discount by the seafood families of the Gulf Coast, who have Bbig Hearts. They were helping people they didn’t even know way out here in Phoenix!

Whether or not our government and BP ever step up, it is up to us to take care of each other.

Help me help the Gulf Coast!  Go get my CD now, which includes guest appearances by great Phoenix musicians… Diana Lee, Chuck Hall, Bill Tarsha, and many more: www.thecrawdaddy.bandcamp.com

The CD is an easy $7 credit card buy and automatic download.

Again, all proceeds from digital sales of NICE BONES through August 31 will go to the cause.  C’mon folks, it’s only seven bucks and collectively we can make an impact.

As a matter of fact, I’ll donate all proceeds from sales of my other two CD’s, RESURRECTED!  and  LUXURY MUSCLE, through August 31 as well. Each digital CD is only $7 and they’re also at the bandcamp site shown above.

If just one person helped one other person, everyone would be OK.  Please act now. Thank you!
