Welcome to a New Feature: the Dangerdog Music Reviews Blog

I’ve been wanting to do this for some time now: incorporate a blog into Dangerdog Music Reviews using WordPress, the number one blogging and CMS software. The real dilemma was figuring out how to integrate the the WordPress architecture into existing Dangerdog Music Reviews style. After too many false starts I found a great tutorial the took me from the Photoshop composition to the CSS to creating and integrating into a WordPress theme. I’m pretty handy with web design, css, and the basics, but php and WordPress were a, sometimes, frustrating challenge. Well, today I finally pulled it all together (I hope).

But anyway, what’s the purpose of the blog? Generally, it’s a place for myself (and possibly others) to rant with commentary and opinion on everything related to hard rock and heavy metal from the asshole labels to upcoming bands to who’s on tour and more. You may find some extra reviews of unsigned, indie bands, links to artist web sites or MySpace pages, or maybe some cool YouTube video.  Some say (namely my wife) that I’ve never been at a loss for words, so I’m sure I’ll be room for plenty of bullshit on my part. The goal is to do something daily, but that may be setting my sites to high.
