Currently, we have an archive of over 1,000 music and album reviews since November 2006 and it's growing. If you are band, label, publicist or promotion agency, you can submit an album for review. I really hate "best of" lists for two simple reasons. First, a music critic or reviewer will not often share the same likes and dislikes as the reader; therefore, somebody's bound to get pissed off. Second, there's always too much music from which too choose and therefore, somebody always feels left out. Here's what I did.
I went through the list of Dangerdog Reviews quickly and picked my favorites based on first best memory and without a second guess until I had a nice round number, forty. So here's my list of 40 (unranked) favorites from 2009. You'll that the list covers the spectrum of what DMR reviews: melodic hard rock & metal, progressive rock & metal, AOR, and more.
